Kenwood pledges $100,000 for hurricane relief

Kenwood Corp. said it and its Kenwood USA Communications Sector are committed to providing $100,000 in cash and two-way radio equipment to support Hurricane Katrina relief and recovery efforts.
Two-way radios were distributed to evacuation centers, refugee shelters and relief organizations across the Gulf Coast, the company said. In addition, amateur radio equipment was committed to the ARRL to be used by the American Red Cross and other emergency management agencies in the region.
