NEWS Metrocall acquisitions raise customer base by 500,000

Metrocall has acquired Page America, Hackensack, NJ, for a total purchase price of $78.5 million. This acquisition will add about 220,000 subscribers to Metrocall's customer base.
Metrocall, Alexandria, VA, has acquired all of the midwest business assets of Source One Wireless, Chicago. This acquisition will add about 300,000 subscribers to Metrocall's customer base.
