NEWS Motorola grants Flex licenses to four manufacturers

Four wireless communications manufacturers, Cromack Industries, Greenfield, MA; Genie Telecommunications, Taipei, Hsien, Taiwan; Standard Telecom America, Santa Clara, CA; and Vis'tel Communications, Houston, have been granted licenses to manufacture Flex technology-based products.

Standard and Vis'tel have licensed Flex to manufacture wireless messaging devices; Genie Telecommunications has licensed the protocol to produce upgraded wireless messaging infrastructure. Cromack Industries, a Flex licensee since 1994, has broadened its Flex family manufacturing capabilities to develop and manufacture test equipment for two-way voice and data transmissions.
