NEWS PageMart purchases $40 million of paging infrastructure equipment

PageMart, Dallas, has purchased $40 million of infrastructure equipment from Motorola Advanced Messaging Systems Division (AMSD), Fort Worth, TX. PageMart plans to use the equipment for the rollout of a nationwide two-way advanced messaging systems, including the ReFlex and InFlexion protocols, as well as the expansion of its Flex network.

PageMart's two-way field trials are slated to begin in the second quarter of 1996 in the Dallas/Fort Worth area using Motorola's RF-Orchestra linear transmitter, RF-Audience base receiver and RF-Conductor controller. PageMart plans to roll out other portions of its two-way advanced messaging network in major cities in late 1996.
