Report: P2T carriers need bundles outside U.S.

A report issued by the Yankee Group urged carriers deploying push-to-talk services to create service bundles that also include conferencing, instant messaging and instant availability if they hope to find success in markets outside the U.S. Analyst X.J. Wang said carriers deploying P2T services internationally could face voice revenue cannibalization because more prepaid customers exist in overseas markets. Part of the solution is to “utilize the same infrastructure for multiple services,” Wang said in a statement.
