Shanghai establishes TETRA system

Motorola has been awarded a contract by Shanghai Telecom to establish an 800 MHz, IP-based TETRA digital trunked government radio network for the city of Shanghai. The network will be designed to enable 50,000 users from different government agencies to communicate on a single, unified platform.
