Feb 1, 2008 12:00 PM

ShotSpotter announced that its Gunshot Location System helped rescue two Boston gunshot victims in late December 2007. ShotSpotter's system alerted police to the incidents, helping to save a 22-year-old Boston man who had been shot in the back, and in a separate case, a Boston woman pregnant with twins who had been shot twice. In addition, police in East Palo Alto, Calif., last month used the system in a case of celebratory gunfire that culminated in the confiscation of a shotgun and .357-magnum handgun, according to the company.
