Apr 1, 2007 12:00 PM, By Donny Jackson

A National Public Safety Telecommunications Council, or NPSTC, task group examining the channel-naming recommendations of the national coordination committee has developed a revised common-naming standard.

The organization is accepting comments on the proposed standard through May 20. It will evaluate any comments received and develop the final draft recommendations for adoption by the NPSTC governing board at the June 13 quarterly meeting.
