Va. planning district commission adopts digital network solution

The Hampton Roads (Va.) Planning District Commission chose Alcatel to deliver its new, federally funded, digital communications network designed to enhance interoperability between city administrators, public-safety agencies and the U.S. Coast Guard. The network provides voice, data and video applications running over an IP architecture.
