Jun 1, 2008 12:00 PM, By Donny Jackson

Dallas police arrested a man accused of mugging an 18-year-old ROTC cadet who collapsed during a seizure outside a downtown Greyhound bus station last month. The arrest was made based on video captured from a Firetide wireless surveillance system installed in the city. The Dallas City Council and the local police department recently deployed the system, which consists of 40 Sony cameras placed at major intersections in downtown Dallas that connect to 32 Firetide mesh nodes that operate on secure frequencies, according to the company.
