R&D agreement for DoD emergency response network

Reston, Va.-based 4G integrated wireless network developer TerreStar Networks this week announced it has entered into a research-and-development agreement with the Department of Defense’s Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) concerning the development of the North American Emergency Response Communications Network. DISA, in part, is responsible for establishing technical standards for voice and data communications for the DoD and its agencies.
