German airport purchases digital radio system

Motorola won a contract to supply a TETRA (terrestrial trunked radio) digital radio system to Leipzig/Halle Airport in Taunusstein, Germany. The contract also includes a range of Motorola TETRA terminals for mobile voice and data communication to support airport operations such as fleet, freight and logistics management. The network is scheduled for completion by the end of July 2007, according to the company.
