Sep 17, 2007 4:22 PM, - MRT

BIO-key International, a provider of wireless public-safety solutions and finger-based biometric identification systems, procured a $125,000 contract from the Municipality of Anchorage, Alaska, for an expansion of the Anchorage Police Department’s existing MobileCop mobile-data system. According to the company, the system provides police officers with access to federal and state data on stolen vehicles and wanted persons and lets them complete their reports in the field rather than traveling to the station.
