Carmaker chooses wireless fleet management system

Hackensack, N.J.-based I.D. Systems recently announced that Nissan North America would deploy the company’s Wireless Asset Net vehicle management system on a fleet of material-handling equipment at its manufacturing plant in Decherd, Tenn. The solution uses radio-frequency identification technology to control, track, monitor and analyze assets, the company said. Previously, Nissan deployed the system at its Smyrna, Tenn., plant.
