Federal agency deploys Digital Angel wireless transponders

Digital Angel secured a three-year, $6 million contract from the Bonneville Power Administration, a federal agency under the U.S. Department of Energy, for Passive Integrated Transponder (PIT) technology. PIT is used in conjunction with a radio frequency identification antenna technology to monitor salmon movement and dam passage, the company said.
