South Carolina energy provider deploys WLAN

Santee Electric Cooperative, a South Carolina-based energy provider, has deployed Extreme Networks’ Summit WM wireless LAN solution and Altitude 350 access points that support simultaneous operation of 802.11a and 802.11g/b wireless networks. The solution will provide automated wireless updates to hand-held devices used by its workforce, according to the company.
