LA sheriffs use Firetide wireless network for surveillance

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deployed a wireless video surveillance network supported by Firetide, a developer of wireless mesh and access networks, to support its Advanced Surveillance and Protection Plan. The wireless system was installed in a 13-square-mile radius of Century Station, a high-crime neighborhood.
