FreeWave unveils military radio

FreeWave Technologies unveiled the IM-E500, a wireless, spread-spectrum radio designed for military applications. It operates in frequencies from 2.372 to 2.4 GHz, and offers frequency hopping and 115.2 kb/s of throughput. It also has a communication range of up to 20 miles and and an operating range from –40 to +75 degrees centigrade.
