GPS fleet management system unveiled

Sep 20, 2007 12:48 PM, - MRT

Networkcar launched the Networkfleet 3500 product line, a wireless vehicle-management system developed for fleet managers. The product line features the Siemens TC63 wireless module that wirelessly transmits GPS location and engine diagnostics information directly from the vehicle. Fleet managers log on to a secure Web page to view and manage information, such as vehicle location, fuel consumption, mileage, speed, emissions and idle-time. Customers using the product also receive instant e-mail notifications when a diagnostic trouble code is present in a vehicle or when a vehicle is due for its scheduled maintenance, according to the company.
