Sep 22, 2006 9:44 AM

Lockheed Martin recently completed a live-flight, interoperable-communications demonstration for the Airborne, Maritime and Fixed (AMF) Stations component of the military’s Joint Tactical Radio Systems (JTRS) program. Held in Crystal City, Va., the demonstration included sending real-time video and voice communications to and from aircrafts using new and legacy systems. It also focused on integrating waveforms into an interoperable network to support shared situational awareness information, interoperability between platforms out of line-of-sight and wideband network quality of service.
