Police department deploys 3G

The Raleigh, N.C., police department is using AT&T’s third-generation, or 3G, wireless broadband solution, BroadbandConnect, the company announced. The solution will be used to deliver mission-critical information to officers, including in 500 patrol cars. It also supports hand-held devices for officers on bicycles and horseback.
