American Red Cross invests in mobile data system

The American Red Cross purchased Global Relief Technologies’ Rapid Data Management System, which lets disaster-relief workers located in remote environments collect data on hand-held devices and transmit it over a satellite or cellular connection to a virtual network operation center, where it is then collected and analyzed.
