Parvus introduces DepotLink wireless data solution

Parvus Corp. introduced its RiderNet DepotLink mobile wireless data transfer technology. Patent-pending DepotLink enables RiderNet intelligent mobile access points to serve as passenger Wi-Fi hot spots and also as a central gateway for all on-board transit communications technology, according to the company. Legacy devices that leverage GPS and AVL technology, as well as automatic passenger counters and electronic fee collectors, now connect to the cellular network or to 802.11 transit yard networks for the wireless collection of operational data.
