Tropos Networks introduces routers

Aug 7, 2007 11:18 AM, - MRT

Sunnyvale, Calif.-based Tropos Networks launched two new routers that support citywide mobile connectivity for IP-based data, video and voice. The 9532 MetroMesh outdoor public-safety router creates a self-organizing, self-healing 4.9 GHz wireless mesh that selects the end-to-end data path through the mesh network. The 9422 MetroMesh mobile public-safety router creates a mobile infrastructure to extend wireless public-safety networks and offers wireless access to both 4.9 GHz and 2.4 GHz client devices. It also provides in-vehicle access via Ethernet and can be fitted with an optional GPS receiver.
