WLAN semi-conductor platform meets IEEE standards

Wireless communications provider Redpine Signals introduced the Lite-Fi low-power WLAN, a semi-conductor platform for hand-held devices that meets IEEE 802.11n standards. It offers backward compatibility with existing 802.11a/b/g networks and Bluetooth, and provides host interfaces and reference drivers for the Windows CE and Linux operating systems, according to the company.
