IPC to buy CAD vendor

IPC Information Systems, which provides mission-critical communications systems to the public-safety, government, utility and transportation sectors, announced that it has entered into an agreement to purchase Geo911, a vendor of computer-aided dispatch and law enforcement records management systems. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. IPC, which is headquartered in Mount Laurel, N.J., said the acquisition would enable it to provide its customers with a single source for all voice and data technologies used in command center operations.
