MDC, XGate certified for Dataradio

Jan 24, 2005 12:22 PM

Mentor Engineering today announced its Mobile Data Computer (MDC) and XGate middleware products recently were certified for the Dataradio private wireless data network.

After Dataradio based stations are installed at necessary locations, in-vehicle MDCs equipped with a Dataradio Gemini series radio can access the network. Mentor’s XGate middleware serves as the link between the MDC, the Dataradio network and the host software.

“Mentor continually seeks to interface its wireless products with a broader range of networks to give clients greater coverage and more mobile wireless options,” Mike Koebel, Mentor’s director of sales, said in a prepared statement. “Certification on Dataradio presents another network option for MDC clients—one that delivers trusted, reliable and clear communication.”
