Kyocera introduces P2T handset

Jan 29, 2004 12:00 PM

Kyocera Wireless Corp. recently announced the introduction of the Kyocera 3250, which the company said is the first handset to include one-touch walkie-talkie functionality in its feature set. According to Kyocera, it is the only P2T handset being offered by Alltel, which began service last week. In addition to supporting Kodiak’s Real-Time Exchange platform, which Alltel is using as its P2T platform, the 3250 supports voice-over-Internet protocol platforms including Togabi Technology’s PacketCHAT and Qualcomm’s BREWChat, according to Kyocera.
