Nextel lands Connecticut state procurement contract

Nextel Communications recently announced a contract with the state of Connecticut that will allow government agencies, school districts, state-funded non-profit organizations and other authorized users to purchase the company’s products and services on an as-needed basis. Nextel provides service throughout the state and into western Massachusetts, and already has contracts in place with the cities of Hartford, New Haven and Stamford, the Connecticut State Police and U.S. Navy and Coast Guard facilities based in the state.
