The Public Safety Foundation of America (PFSA) announced $2.4 million in grants to expedite the implementation of wireless enhanced 911 services nationwide. The grants were awarded to 43 organizations in 24 states. The largest grant—$215,352—went to the St. Landry Parish (La.) Communications District. Other notable grants included the following: $150,886 to the University of Minnesota Police Department, $149,400 to the Maine Department of Public Safety, $109,704 to the Thono O’odham Nation (Ariz.), $100,173 to the City of Bowling Green (Ky.) and $100,000 to the Greendale (Wis.) Police Department. The smallest grant was $6,790 to the Multi Agency Communications Center in Moses Lake, Wash.
