Teletouch Communications said it has received a three-year contract worth $150,000 to deploy a two-way radio communications system and provide field support services to CareFlite, which provides helicopter and ground-based mobile emergency healthcare services. The logic trunked radio system will operate on 450 MHz spectrum.
Teletouch will provide network airtime, install mobile radios in CareFlite emergency vehicles and provide portable radios to emergency personnel. The Passport-enabled radios automatically switch between radio towers to enable seamless coverage, the company said.
