BBN Technologies lands multimillion Air Force contract

BBN Technologies was awarded a $2.8 million contract by the Air Force Research Laboratory to develop a reliable wireless communications system. Dubbed Quality of Service Enabled Dissemination, or QED, the prototype system will incorporate quality-of-service and disruption tolerance capabilities to support tactical communications. The system will prioritize the information delivery for various applications, users or data flows, according to the company.
