Daniels Electronics has been awarded a five-year contract (two-year contract with three option years) with the Department of Homeland Security for the supply of digital public-safety radio systems under the multiple award indefinite delivery and indefinite quantity (IDIQ) $3 billion (total ceiling value) Tactical Communications (TACCOM) contract. This contract will provide government public-safety agencies with radios using Daniels latest generation of firmware-based digital radio technology.

This contract will be used by a number of government agencies over the next five years to expand and upgrade their government’s radio networks to provide state-of-the-art digital communications for the first-line public-safety responders.
