GPS microphone delivers location data

Brea, Calif.-based Pryme Radio Products unveiled a global position satellite, or GPS, ruggedized microphone. It doubles as a speaker microphone for use with mobile and portable radios and delivers GPS-derived location coordinates from field personnel to a central monitoring display. It is compatible with most land-mobile-radio systems, according to the company.
