InterAct, Embarq deploy public safety software in South Carolina

Winston-Salem, N.C.-based InterAct Public Safety Systems and Embarq will provide computer-aided dispatch and geographic information system software to Greenwood County, S.C. The county has a population of more than 68,500 and receives approximately 160,000 emergency 911 calls annually across 18 agencies. The deployment marks the first sale of a public safety system in the Embarq-InterAct relationship, according to the company.
