U.S. Navy invests in onboard wireless platform

Secure wireless networking provider Fortress Technologies has been awarded a contract by General Dynamics NASSCO, a subsidiary of General Dynamics, to implement secure wireless communications on next-generation replenishment ships under the U.S. Navy’s Dry Cargo/Ammunition Ship program. Fortress will provide its security gateways and secure clients for a wireless link between the Shipboard Warehouse Management System provided by HK Systems and its end users.
