NENA names new president

Nov 1, 2006 4:19 PM

The National Emergency Number Association (NENA) today announced Jason Barbour as its new president. Barbour, the 911 Director for Johnston County, N.C., replaces Dr. Bill Munn, who left his position as executive director of Tarrant County (Texas) 911 over the summer to do consulting work in the private sector. NENA’s bylaws require board members to be employed in the public sector, according to a NENA source, who added that Munn plans to stay active in the organization as a member.
