Durable portable radios launched

Tait Radio Communications announced the introduction of the IP67-rated TP8100 series of radios, which includes 5 W VHF and 4 W UHF versions. The conventional TP8120 and trunked TP are full 16-key radios, while the conventional TP8115 and trunked TP8135 are available with limited keypads. All four feature a 24-character LCD display screen, Windows programming software and a 2000 mAh lithium-ion battery. All radios in the series exceed MIL-STD 810F and are targeted for sectors where dust, dirt and rain are issues, including utilities, mining ports and public transportation, the company said.
