Companies partner on rapid-response communication solution

Alcatel-Lucent subsidiary LGS and systems integrator PacStar are working together to provide the U.S. Army Reserve Command in Fort McPherson, Ga., with a rapid-response cellular solution. The solution includes the LGS tactical base-station router and the PacStar 5500, which is a self-managed communication system housed in a ruggedized case. The system supports wireless voice, data and video, according to LGS.
