Symbol releases v3 of its wireless switch

Symbol Technologies unveiled v3 of its WS5100 wireless switch based on its Wireless Next Generation architecture. The new version enables the deployment of access ports in Layer 2 or Layer 3 networks, campus-wide roaming for mobile users and switch clustering for wireless networking. New security features include intrusion detection, RF monitoring and secure guest-access provisioning, according to the company.
