VoIP-based emergency communication unit now available

NEC Unified Solutions released its mobile voice and data unit, a disaster-recovery system that provides wireless voice, data and video communications to government agencies and first responders during emergencies. The unit is a VoIP-based system that leverages the company’s Univerge SV7000 MPS, a communications controller to support temporary or long-term voice and data networks, wireless access points and wireless handsets, according to the company.
