Wireless products integrated into university tactical operation center

Malvern, Pa.-based Rajant Corp.’s BreadCrumb wireless products have been selected as part of a new communications platform developed by the University of Louisville, Ken.’s, IT Research Center called the Man-Portable Interoperable Tactical Operations Center that integrates broadband, satellite, cellular and local area networks for emergency communications. The company’s products were used as the meshed, wireless backbone and enable communication links to interoperate so state, federal and volunteer personnel can communicate in real-time during an urgent public-health situation. The Department of Homeland Security and the university funded the project.
