BearCom supplies radios to City of Columbus

BearCom recently said it sold 339 EFJohnson Model 5100 portable radios to the City of Columbus, Ohio, that will operate on the state’s Multiple Agency Radio Communications System. MARCS is an 800 MHz, 180-site, statewide Motorola SmartZone trunking system. The Project 25-compliant radios were purchased with federal grant monies and will bring interoperable communications to seven contiguous counties, BearCom said.
