Daniels compact base station/repeater now available in higher-power version

Daniels Electronics is offering the ET-6 compact, Project 25–compliant base station/repeater that provides power output up to 30 W. The device measures 6.7 inches by 18.2 inches by 13.4 inches, weighs 28 pounds, and operates in temperatures ranging from –22° F to 140° F (–30° C to 60° C). The device operates on solar or battery power and is quick to deploy — all field personnel have to do is connect an antenna, flip a switch and close the lid, according to the company. The device is targeted for use in rugged terrain and in covert operations. It has range up to 100 miles in a mountaintop application, and about 10 blocks in a dense urban environment.
