EFJohnson selects TI DSP for next-gen subscriber radios

EFJohnson

announced that it would use the Texas Instruments TMS320C5510 digital signal processor as the signal-processing engine its new line of infrastructure products. The company said it would be able to bring products to market more quickly by reusing “proven signal-processing algorithms based on the C5510 digital processor,” which also is used in the company’s Project 25-compliant radios.
