Report: SDR to dominate European military land communications

Software-defined radio is poised to dominate the European tactical military communications market, especially after 2010, according to a report published by Frost & Sullivan. Two-thirds of all tactical land systems will migrate to SDR, fueled by “soldier modernization” programs. Frost & Sullivan said SDR procurements by European military entities could grow as high as $1.3 billion in 2013.
