Aug 25, 2005 1:21 PM

DENVER--Raytheon JPS announced during APCO that it would temporarily reduce prices for its ACU-T Tactical Intelligent Interconnect System. The ACU-T bundle kit has been reduced to $8995 (from $11,600), and the ACU-T tactical package has been reduced to $3995 (from $5980). The prices take effect Sept. 1, and will be available through Dec. 31, 2005.

“June was our best-ever month for shipping product, and we’re just trying to keep the momentum going,” said Sandy Waters, vice president of sales and marketing.

The company also announced the opening of an additional 12,000-square-foot facility in Raleigh, N.C., that will house sales, marketing and customer service personnel. It features a “state-of-the-art” training room that will be used to educate customers and dealers on the company’s products.

The company conducted a demonstration of a wide-area interoperability system during APCO. The system interconnected radio equipment provided by JPS, Arinc, Cisco, IBM, L-3 Communications and Nextel.
