California county upgrades communications
Houston, Texas-based Tait Radio Communications will upgrade its TaitNet P25 digital network solution currently used for Stanislaus County, Calif.’s, regional communications systems that serve police, fire and emergency medical departments. Tait also will secure the primary radio tower, according to the company.
The company also has been awarded a contract to install the TaitNet P25 digital solution on a turnkey basis for the city of Grand Forks, N.D., and Polk County in Minnesota. The solution will provide interoperable communications for police, fire, EMS and numerous other city and county agencies in the area, according to Tait.
In other news, Hayward, Calif., officials purchased the TaitNet QS2 conventional simulcast system for use by its police, fire and emergency medical departments.
