K.C. police deploy Compudyne CAD system

Dec 16, 2004 4:32 PM

The Kansas City (Mo.) Police Department recently announced it has deployed a computer-aided dispatch system developed by Compudyne’s Tiburon division. The system operates on Microsoft Windows workstations and is fully distributed, meaning that it will maintain system availability approaching 100% in the event of component failure. The deployment represents the second phase of an $8.6 million contract. In the first phase, Compudyne installed a CAD and records-management system for the Kansas City (Mo.) Fire Department.
