AirNet wins $1.4 million order from National Guard

AirNet Communications said this week it had received a $1.4 million purchase order for equipment that ultimately will be deployed by the National Guard. The equipment includes the company’s RapidCell base stations and TripCap AirSite Backhaul Free base stations. The RapidCell base station leverages software-defined radio technologies to provide multiple GSM frequency bands and up to 96 channels of voice and data, AirNet said. In addition, the RapidCell offers network interface support for ISDN, satellite, GSM Abis and VoIP, as well as Type 1 through Type 4 secure communications, the company said.
